Tim KeaneTim Keane is the current Entrepreneur in Residence at Marquette University, in the graduate school of business, where he teaches graduate courses in new business formation and business growth strategies and heads the school's new angel network for Marquette's alumni and friends. He is an active angel investor, having recently sold NuEdge Systems, LLC, a marketing automation software and consulting services company that he founded in 1989. Since 1989, he had led the company through a venture round, a joint venture with a public newspaper company, a merger, and a divestiture. Prior to NuEdge, he was the founder of a variety of small businesses, and worked for General Electric Medical Systems from 1977 to 1984 in the marketing communications group. He is an active Angel investor and business advisor. His activities currently include a business to business catalog company, a community bank, an e-commerce business, a textbook publisher in The Republic of Ireland, and others. He serves on the boards of the Local Initiatives Support Corporation, and Nativity Jesuit Middle School, as well as holding the Marquette University seat on the TechStar Foundation Board. He is also currently the co-chairman of the Milwaukee Initiative for a Competitive Inner City. He holds degrees from Marquette University (BA, Journalism 1970) and Seattle University, (M.Ed., 1974). |
